Roger et Gallet is an esteemed perfume and soap company founded in Paris in 1806 by Jean Marie Farina, a descendent of Johann Farina, inventor of
Eau de Cologne. Jean Marie Farina opened a perfumery business in rue Saint-Honore, Paris with his own Eau de Cologne.

Napoleon was a wholehearted user and had a boot flask specially made for him to carry in his boot - the flask was called the "Rouleau de l'Empereur".
Armand Roger and Charles Gallet took over the brand in 1862, and expanded into new areas, including skin care and the now famous Roger Gallet soap.
Roger & Gallet was purchased by L’Oreal in early 2008.

Roger and Gallet continues to be popular.
